Continuing Education Opportunities

NCAND strives to post every continuing education opportunity that we hear about.

The Maryland Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics will have an upcoming virtual annual meeting. It will be held virtually everywhere, live on May 13th and 14th. It will also be recorded to watch later if needed. Registration is open to all, including non-MAND members. This is a good opportunity to earn some extra CEUs as well. Up to 14.5 CEUs can be earned (that is less than $6 per credit!).

Some of our headline speakers will include:

  • Livleen Gill - Surviving the COVID-19 Pandemic with Telehealth: These are unprecedented times and that means we all must adjust! Learn the details of the CMS telehealth coding and billing guidelines during the COVID-19 emergency. Get a better understanding of Medicaid and commercial insurances guidelines during COVID-19 specific to Maryland. Discuss licensure guidelines as it pertains to COVID-19
  • Theresa Stahl - Mindful Eating and Beyond: Incorporating Mind-body Medicine in Your Personal and Professional Life: This session will focus on key evidence-based research about mindful eating and mind-body medicine. RDNs are uniquely qualified to teach mindful eating, an important mind-body medicine skill that contributes to health, well-being, and prevention and management of chronic diseases including obesity, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.

Cost:

  • MAND members: $65
  • Non-MAND members: $85
  • Student/Dietetic Intern/Retiree: $35 (Students/Interns do NOT have to be MAND members)
