"Modern Farming: How Todays Farmers Feed The World" - Lauren Twigge, MCN, RDN, LD

Lecture Summary: With a global population estimated to exceed 9 billion people by 2050, farmers have adopted new practices and technology to produce enough safe and nutritious food to meet this growing demand. However, consumers have questions about where their food is coming from and how it is being produced, often turning to dietitians for these answers. In this presentation, we will focus on modern farming methods, explain how they enhance farmers abilities to produce sufficient and safe food in a sustainable way, and equip you to answer your patients or clients questions and ultimately guide them in their food purchasing confidence.

NCAND would like to thank the NC Beef Council for sponsoring this presentation.
