Lecture Summary: According to the World Resources Institute, the world will have to feed about 10 billion people in 2050. The demand for food will increase by more than 50 percent. A well-prepared workforce will be needed for this great responsibility. Leadership, marketing and storytelling are important skills to leverage as a member of the food and nutrition industry. Dietetics Education Panel Discussion

Presentation Summary: This panel will include representatives from various dietetics education programs. I will be representing Future Education Model Graduate Programs, sharing about the process of development, accreditation requirements and competencies using our recently approved program as an example. Strengths and challenges will be presented. Information shared will be valuable for students considering these programs as well as practitioners/preceptors who may be approached by students for supervised experiential learning opportunities.
